Concept Art Update 05/11/11: Now presenting as-yet unseen concept art kindly donated to the Tavern by the creator of Moonstone himself, Rob Anderson. Pretty amazing, huh?
On the 1st April 2011 (no Fool!) I received a
wonderful surprise in my inbox :)
Below is a selection of the guys' incredible art - it's both utterly evocative and uncannily close to how I'd imagine the original Moonstone team might have envisaged things back in the day. What a huge treat for us fans! Manual... The full Moonstone manual for download in zip form. Soundtrack... Get the Moonstone theme in .mod format here once you have downloaded Deliplayer! Update: 17.09.06 Mental! Just received an email from a Moonstone fan named Doodah regarding a song he's written as a tribute to the game. Here's what he had to say...
...and here's the
song
itself. You can
definitely see the guys are influenced by Led Zeppelin - it's like a cross
between Immigrant Song and Stairway to Heaven. In other words, pretty darn
head-bangingly good! Nice one Doodah, now finish those final few verses and
chart success surely beckons!
Box Art & Packaging... Click on a piccie for the full size version - many thanks to Olli Knagge for performing this great service for me! Check out his stellar links page dedicated to his favourite classic game-related sites: The Rings of Zilfin! 3D Moonstone Box! Click on image for the 3D version. It's about a 250kb download, so please be patient. The 3D Boxes are vrml (.wrl) files, and you therefore need a vrml plugin / viewer to open them within your browser...
I
think you'll all agree that it's much better solution than having to pay £40
at Ebay for the privilege like I did!

Postermap Wallpaper...
Finally available for
download is the fold-out postermap that was originally bundled with
Moonstone. Click on the image for a 2mb full size version that you can use
as your new desktop wallpaper. Hooray for
Olli!
The
Three Different Versions of Moonstone Images once again courtesy of my fine German friend Olli Knagge, lucky owner of all three versions of Moonstone. From left: Moonstone PC, Moonstone Amiga and Moonstone Amiga Limited Edition (inc. Knightmare rolling demo) Click on each for full size! Moonstone ASCII Art... Brilliant piece of ASCII art I found whilst trawling on Google's Usenet Archive for Moonstone-related material. I believe the author is Marcin Gliñski. Click on the image for the full size version. More Fan Art...
Michael Hanson's superb rendition of a ballok - "those lovely little head-munching beasties we know so well. It's quick, and a little rough around the edges, but it aint easy gettin a pic of those fellas. They move pretty fast!" Click on the image for the full size version.
